Mrs. Carter’s 2nd grade class recently took a deep dive into the world of polar animals! ❄️🐧
After reading The Very, Very Far North and Mr. Popper’s Penguins, students became curious about animals that live in the polar regions. Each student selected a polar animal and worked together to research using books, videos, articles, and a child-friendly search engine.
Students gathered important facts, organized their information, and created slideshow presentations to teach their classmates about what they learned. We love seeing our Mustangs building research, writing, and presentation skills while exploring the amazing animals of the Arctic and Antarctic!

Our Mustang Miles program has officially come to an end for this school year! Over the course of 27 running days, our students showed incredible dedication, perseverance, and school spirit.🐎🖤💛
Throughout the program, students were encouraged to run at least 10 laps (1 mile) each day. We are proud to share that any student who met this goal will receive the Mustang Marathon Award (26.2 miles) at the end of the year—an amazing accomplishment!🏃♀️🏃♂️
We also tracked our top 5 runners in each grade level, as well as the top 10 runners across the entire school. Many of these students consistently went above and beyond, averaging an impressive 2+ miles each day. Some were even running 3+ miles each day. 🥇
We are incredibly proud of all of our Mustangs—not only for participating, but for pushing themselves to exceed their daily goals. Thank you for supporting your children and helping make this program such a success!🖤👏

Yesterday was an unforgettable day! Our Cracker Trail Elementary Mustang Chorus took the stage for FOUR amazing Lion King performances—two shows for our students and two incredible evening performances for our families and community. 🐴🦁🎶
From start to finish, our Mustangs brought the energy, talent, and heart—truly making it a magical “Circle of Life” experience for everyone who attended! 🌅

Mrs. Sebring, Mrs. LaBarr, and our talented CTE Art Club brought an unforgettable surprise to life! During last month's Science & Art Night our Art Club members debuted their incredible Living Portraits—a one-of-a-kind experience where student-created masterpieces stepped right out of the frame.
Students worked hard, drawing inspiration from famous master artists, and their creativity truly shined as their artwork came to life before our eyes. It was a magical blend of imagination, dedication, and talent!
From the installation of our newest tile wall to hands-on science activities to stunning art displays, the evening was filled with creativity, curiosity, and strong Mustang pride. 🐎💫 It truly was a great night to be a Mustang!

Online sales for the 2025–2026 yearbooks are now closed.
We will begin accepting in-person purchases on Monday, April 6th. The cost is now $25 per yearbook. Payments must be made with exact cash or by check payable to CTE.
Please note that quantities are limited, so be sure to reserve your copy as soon as possible! Yearbooks will be delivered to CTE in early May and distributed to students shortly after they arrive.
