🎉🌈 MES 1st COLOR RUN – TOMORROW! 🌈🎉 Get ready for some colorful fun! Tomorrow, Thursday 5/22, Memorial Elementary will host its very first Color Run — a school-wide celebration of health, fun, and fundraising! 💪✨ 💛 All students will participate in the run from 7:50 AM – 8:50 AM. 💙 Colored powder will be used — so we recommend students bring a change of clothes for after the event. 💚 Students who earned Color Run prizes, dye, and shirts will receive their items tomorrow morning. 🧡 If your child didn’t earn a shirt, please have them wear a white shirt and athletic shoes. 💜 Sunglasses and water bottles are highly encouraged for this outdoor event! 🎨 Let’s celebrate the amazing effort our students made to help raise money for MES needs. Great job, HEROES! Here are a few important reminders to ensure everyone has a safe and fun time: 👕 Swimsuits must be worn to school under clothing. 👧 Girls: Please wear a shirt over your swimsuit during splash time. 👦 Boys: Please wear a shirt with your swim trunks. 🧼 Don’t forget: Bring a towel, a plastic bag for wet clothes, and a full change of clothes. Students without a change of clothes won’t be allowed on the slides. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher. 🐊✨ Field Trip Fun! ✨🐍 Our 1st graders from Memorial Elementary had an unforgettable adventure at Gatorama! 🚌💚 Students got up close with alligators, had a special python encounter, and even received a bag of gator feed to experience wildlife in action! They also enjoyed hands-on learning during a STEM education session, combining fun with fascinating facts. Gatorama's educational programs are designed to provide students with a hands-on understanding of the natural world. Their highly-trained zoo education instructors are passionate about engaging students in interactive learning experiences. 🎉 2nd Grade Field Trip Fun at Hunsader Farms! 🌾🐐 Our Memorial Elementary 2nd graders had an amazing time on their field trip to Hunsader Farms last week—it was a complete success! 🙌 The day began with a scenic buggy ride around the farm where students got to see a variety of plants and animals. 🌿🛻 Afterward, they enjoyed lunch under the trees and some fun time on the playground. 🌳🍎 One of the highlights? Each student received a cup of feed and got to hand-feed animals like goats, sheep, donkeys, pigs, horses, an emu, llamas, lemurs, birds, a capybara, a tortoise, and even a porcupine! 🐴🦙🦔 The fun didn’t stop there—they explored a charming village featuring buildings like a school, church, courthouse, and jail, and had a blast with bikes and games. 🚲🏛️ 2nd grade had a blast... but let’s just say there were some sleepy kids on the ride home! 😴💚 #MemorialElementary #FieldTripFun #HunsaderFarms #2ndGradeAdventures
