One of our Pre-K classrooms had a sweet time learning this week! After a group reading of “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?”, students put their math skills to work by graphing M&M’s. This fun, hands-on activity helped our youngest Mustangs practice sorting, counting, and recognizing colors—all while having a great time learning together! 💙📊🍫

We are sharing the dress code again as a reminder. Recently, some students have been arriving at school wearing Crocs, slides, or similar shoes. 🚫👡 These types of shoes are not safe for school activities. Recess 🛝, hallway movement 🚶♂️, and physical education 🏃♀️ require students to wear appropriate, secure footwear. 👟

Mrs. Vicki Pontius, Glades Electric Cooperative Board of Trustee member for the Lake Josephine area (District 8), joined her daughter, Mrs. Alexis Cooper—a proud Mustang alumna and parent—for this meaningful moment. Mrs. Cooper currently serves as an Education-Training Specialist with the Highlands County UF/IFAS office, assists with our school-based 4-H program, and provides incredible support to our grade levels in so many ways.
