Our students and staff incorporate regular emergency drills as a part of school safety. In adherence with state statutes, we collaborate with our Safe Schools Deputy (Mr. Acuna), district staff, and school-based leadership before and after each drill.
Beyond fire drills, we also address throughout the year other emergencies, such as severe weather, natural disasters, hazardous materials, active assailants, and reunification. On Thursday of this week, CTE students & staff practiced a simulated campus evacuation.
While we did not leave our campus, each step to evacuate campus was practiced. Principal Kogelshatz shared that "we are very proud of our students who took this task extremely seriously, followed staff direction, and ensured that we were prepared if there was ever a need to evacuate our campus."

𝐂𝐓𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐒 "𝐁" 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋!
Principal, Mr. Kogelschatz, shared with the CTE staff on Monday that Cracker Trail Elementary remains a "B" school!! He stated, "This achievement is a direct reflection of the commitment, passion, and tireless efforts everyone pours into our students, each other, and our school community. Your collective contributions have created an environment where our students can thrive and succeed."
CTE scored 57% of the total points - up from 56% from the year before. We are currently 5 percentage points away from an "A."
Parents, thank you for partnering with us and allowing us to make a positive impact on your children each day. We look forward to what we will achieve this year!

Our October bus of the month is bus #54! 🚌🥳️
Each month we do a drawing for PBIS Bus of the Month. In order to be in the drawing the bus must have NO referrals all month. All students who ride the bus and the bus operator will get the treat of the month. Thanks for showing great Mustang behavior even on the bus!

We had one of the most wildly successful Kiss The Pig events! Historically, we have always donated to a student in need or a local non-profit. This year, unanimously the PTO planning committee and school staff suggested donating the pennies to a staff member who is battling cancer. We are overjoyed with our Mustangs who donated over $3300 to help with this individual's treatments! This is the most money raised by Kiss the Pig that anyone can remember! 😁😭🖤💛🐎
🪙 Least pennies collected, 8 cents: Principal, Mr. Kogelshatz
💰 Most pennies collected, $575++: 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Melendy

Thanks to everyone who came to parent-teacher conferences last week! We value this partnership. Each fall and spring, we ask families to take a brief survey about our school.
Please take 90 seconds to let us know how we are doing. We want to know what you think about your child’s school. The information from the survey will help us improve student relationships, learning conditions, and the school’s overall environment. Your answers are confidential and this survey is voluntary. If you scanned a QR code and took the survey during your conference, you do not need to complete this again. THANK YOU!
