Our Cracker Trail Elementary Mustangs are sending a big THANK YOU to the members of American Legion Avon Park Highlands Post 69 for visiting our 2nd grade classrooms recently! 🐎💙💛
As a special closing activity for our students’ War of 1812 unit, Legionnaires of Post 69 taught our Mustangs all about Old Glory, shared important lessons on flag etiquette, and helped bring history to life. Students also learned about the Star-Spangled Banner and the making of the first American flag — a memorable experience they won’t forget!
We are so grateful for your time, patriotism, and dedication to educating our students.

Our 4th grade Mustangs had an AMAZING day on their annual field trip to Medieval Times! This special adventure is the grand finale to their study of the Middle Ages, where students enjoyed a delicious medieval-style meal and watched exciting live reenactments—including a real Jousting Tournament! ⚔️✨

On Veteran’s Day, our entire school gathered to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Our students lifted their voices in song as a tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of our nation’s heroes. 🎶❤️
A heartfelt thank you to VFW Post 4300 for joining us and paying tribute to our veterans with the solemn playing of Taps and the three-volley salute. Your presence added deep meaning and reverence to our ceremony.
